so C and i went to boston this past weekend.
yes, pops, i pahked the cah in hahvahd yahd.
boston is an interesting city. unlike new york and chicago -- two cities that don't so much project 'americanness' as they do 'newyorkness' and 'chicagoness', as it were -- boston feels like america. when i first set foot in boston i knew right away i was in the city that really spawned all america is. it is colonial, cosmopolitan, european, and utterly inviting. i immediately felt the sensation of being in a very recognizable, and very comfortable (and comforting), space.
it was thweet. friday night in cambridge. saturday i walked to harvard, then BU, then fenway (where standing room only seats, a $25 face-value, went for $75), then dinner in little italy. sunday boston common and newbury street.
it was a wicked good time.
