Truth to Power

so this is what the telling the truth rends.

i, for one, am in full agreement with kerry. it's the elephant in the room that no one -- least of all the military and those fat-cat congressman who make a killing off military contracts -- has the courage to discuss honestly.

what kerry is doing, i believe, is calling attention to the fact that because the american economy is so horrible in most parts of the country -- coupled with budget cuts in education and social services -- THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE FOR MANY YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN BUT TO JOIN THE MILITARY.

these are the facts, and they are indisputable.

it's the perfect vicious cycle -- budget cuts, economic darwinism, and military spending all lead to an uneducated populace that keeps electing republicans to keep them safe.

i hope kerry and the democrats keep hitting bush and the republicans HARD. it's time the truth about the military-congressional-industrial-complex is talked about honestly in this country.
